Whites & Off-whites

A chip this size tells you very little; paint reads differently over a whole wall, and next to a floor and a ceiling.
An illustration, not a photograph. Screens shift colour and paint changes with the light in your room; order a 1 L tin and try it on the wall before committing to a whole house.
Paint has no colour of its own; it returns whatever light falls on it. The same tin reads differently at breakfast, at noon, in a north-facing room and under a bulb.

Full daylight, the light a colour is matched under
#F1EFBE
A simulation, not a measurement; a wall reflects the light that falls on it, and these are four common ones. Screens vary too, which is why a sample pot is still the only way to be certain.
Every suggestion here is a shade we actually stock, so a whole scheme can be bought at once.
The same hue at different strengths. The safest scheme in a room, and the one that makes a small space feel bigger.
Hues either side of yours. Warmer and calmer than a contrast scheme, good for an open-plan space that has to flow.
The opposite hue, for a feature wall, a front door or joinery you want to stand out against the walls.
The same shade knocked back for a ceiling and deepened for skirting and joinery. Both are mixed to order.
