Privacy statement

1.What we collect

• An account: your name, email address and, if you give one, a photograph from the sign-in provider you used.
• An order: the delivery name, phone number and address, what was bought, and any note you add for the driver.
• An enquiry, a colour request or a colour sheet order: your name, company, email, phone and what you wrote to us, including any photograph you send.
• A review: your name, your rating and your words, which are shown publicly once approved.
• Technical information every website receives: the pages requested, the browser and device type, and an approximate location from the network address.

2.What we do not collect

We never see or store your card number, expiry date or PIN. Card and mobile money details are entered on Paystack's own payment page and stay with them. We do not buy personal data from third parties, we do not sell yours, and the site carries no advertising trackers.

3.Why we hold it

• To take, tint, pack, deliver and invoice an order, and to talk to you about it.
• To answer an enquiry, match a colour, or send the colour sheets or documents you asked for.
• To keep your account, your order history and your saved shades available to you.
• To send an offer you asked for by signing up. Every such email carries a way to stop.
• To keep the shop working properly: preventing fraud, fixing faults and keeping records the law requires us to keep.

4.Who else handles it

We use a small number of established services, each of which only receives what it needs to do its part:

• Paystack, for taking payment.
• Google Firebase, for the accounts database and for storing the photographs uploaded to the site.
• Vercel, which runs and serves the website.
• The mail service configured for the shop, which sends order confirmations, invoices and replies.
• Delivery partners and stockists, who receive the delivery name, address and phone number for the order they are carrying.

5.What the browser remembers

Signing in sets a token so the site knows it is still you. Your basket, your saved shades, your colour theme and any discount code you followed are kept in your own browser rather than on our servers, which is why they survive a refresh and disappear if you clear your browser data. None of it is used to advertise to you.

6.How long we keep it

Orders and invoices are kept while the law requires records of a sale to be kept. Enquiries and colour requests are kept while they are useful to answer and to reorder from. An account is kept until you ask us to close it. Ask us to delete something and we will, except where a record has to be retained for tax or legal reasons, in which case we will say so.

7.Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you may ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and object to a use of it. Write to us and we will answer. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

8.Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, administrative pages are limited to named staff accounts, and payment details never reach us. No system is perfect: if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Commission rather than hope you do not notice.

9.Children

This shop is meant for adults buying paint. We do not knowingly collect information about children, and if you believe a child has given us theirs, tell us and we will remove it.

10.Changes, and how to reach us

When this statement changes, the date above changes with it. To ask anything about your data, to ask for a copy of it, or to ask us to delete it, use the contact page or write to the email address in the footer.
