The terms on which Zigma Paints sells and delivers paint through this website.
September 2026
These terms apply when you buy paint, sample pots or related products from this website. Please read them before you order; placing an order means you accept them.
They sit alongside your rights under Ghanaian law rather than replacing them. Where the law gives you more than these terms do, the law applies.
Zigma Paints manufactures acrylic emulsions, weather-shields, roofing coatings, primers and industrial coatings at its plant in Ghana, and sells them through this website, its own showrooms and appointed stockists.
Our contact details are at the foot of every page. If you need our company registration or VAT details for an invoice, ask and we will provide them.
Adding items to your basket is not an order, and the prices shown there are an estimate for your benefit. Your order is made when you complete checkout, and we accept it when your payment is confirmed and we send you an order number.
We re-price and re-check stock on our own server at the moment you check out. If a price or a stock level has changed since you filled your basket, the figure we take is the one held against the product at that moment; you will see it before you pay. If we cannot fulfil an order after taking payment, we will tell you and refund it.
All prices are in Ghana cedis and include any tax we are required to charge. Prices are per tin, and the price of a tin depends on its size and its finish; a silk carries more binder than a matt and is priced accordingly.
Payment is taken through Paystack. We do not see or store your card details. Your order is confirmed only once Paystack confirms the payment to us, so a payment that fails or is abandoned leaves no order behind.
Most of our products are tintable, which means they are mixed to your chosen shade when the order is made rather than taken off a shelf. A tinting charge is added per litre, because the colourant is what costs: a 20 litre drum takes five times the pigment of a 4 litre tin. The charge is shown before you pay.
A shade matched by hand from a photograph, a fabric or another brand's code is quoted separately by our colour lab before anything is charged. Nothing is mixed and nothing is taken from you until you accept that quote.
Because a tinted or matched product is made specifically for you, it cannot be resold, and we may not be able to accept it back unless there is something wrong with it.
Screens vary, and no screen shows paint as a wall does. The shades, room previews and lighting simulations on this site are a guide, not a colour match.
We sell sample pots for this reason and recommend painting a patch on the wall the paint is going on, and looking at it at more than one time of day, before committing to a whole house. A shade chosen from a screen alone is chosen under a light it will never live in.
We deliver nationwide. Delivery within Greater Accra is normally next day; the regions are normally within three working days. Delivery charges are shown at checkout, and orders above the threshold shown there are delivered free.
Paint is heavy and is delivered to an address, not to a person, so please give an address someone can receive it at. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed; where a delay is ours we will tell you as soon as we know.
Coverage figures, drying times, recoat times and suitable surfaces are stated on every product page. They are measured on a smooth, sealed, primed surface. Bare plaster, new blockwork, rough render and textured surfaces take more, and a strong colour over a much lighter one may need a further coat.
Our products are manufactured to the applicable Ghana Standards for the product in question, and our labels, technical information, instructions, warnings and marketing claims are required by our own code of conduct to be accurate and not misleading.
Tell us. Call or email using the details at the foot of this page, with your order number and, where you can, a photograph and the batch code from the tin; every tin is batch-coded and the code traces back to the day it was made and the tests it passed.
We record and investigate every complaint about product quality or safety. Where a product may present a quality or safety risk we will consider containment, suspension of sales, notifying customers, withdrawal or recall, and notifying the regulator, as our code of conduct requires.
This does not affect any right you have under Ghanaian consumer law.
You need an account to check out, to see your order history and to leave a review. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what is done through your account.
Please keep your delivery details accurate; a wrong address is the commonest reason a delivery goes astray.
Reviews are read before they are published. We publish honest ones whether they are favourable or not, and we do not edit the text or the rating of a review; where we have something to say we reply underneath it, in our own name.
A review carries a verified purchase badge only when the account that wrote it has a paid order containing that product. We reserve the right not to publish anything abusive, unlawful, or unrelated to the product.
We handle personal data lawfully, fairly and securely, in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and the requirements of the Data Protection Commission.
We collect it only for stated purposes (taking and delivering your order, answering your enquiries, and running your account), and limit access to those who need it for their work. We do not sell it. If you want to know what we hold about you, or want it corrected, ask us.
The Zigma name and marks, the shade card and its colour names and references, product names, photography, technical documents and the content of this website belong to Zigma Paints and may be used only with our permission.
Anyone buying for resale, acting as our agent or distributing on our behalf is additionally subject to our code of business conduct, including its zero-tolerance position on bribery, kickbacks and facilitation payments.
We do not offer or accept improper payments, and we will not use a third party to do something we could not do ourselves.
We may update these terms as the business, the law or our products change. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date this version took effect is shown at the top of this page.
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana and subject to the jurisdiction of the Ghanaian courts.
These terms describe how we sell and deliver. They are not legal advice, and they do not limit any right given to you by Ghanaian law.
